On the fun side, I found this MockingJay-esque adorable necklaceon Etsy and I bought one for each girl. Isn’t it cute? And it’s our friend’s birthday today, so it’s a combo birthday gift/girl’s night out. Me, being the old one. ;)

Moving forward, I would love to share one of the many wonderful activities that have conspired against my blog updates. ;) For Christmas, my husband bought me a Kindle Fire. I really didn’t know I would like it or use it as much as I have! I love to play Words with Friends and of course read on it! A favorite book read recently was Sweethaven Summer* by Courtney Walsh and guess what?! She’s a scrapper! I bought this book on a whim….it had a scrap-centric theme, Christian world view, and it just looked like a fun book to get lost in. Well, lost I was, and for two days….got behind on laundry and other stuffs around the house as I hid in dark corners to read a few chapters…again and again…on my Kindle Fire. When I got done, I was mad. Mad because it was over. Mad because there wasn’t a “book 2″ that I could just order up and devour. But, let’s say that’s probably a good thing, since I needed to come up for air. Yeah. SO the point of this post is that I endorse this as a good read. The only thing that could have made it better would have been me, on the beach, under an umbrella, with an iced tea and no laundry to feel guilty about.

Meanwhile, I am looking forward to reinvigorating my blog and to share the love, I am offering this little freebie as a “thank you” for hanging around!
