I thought it might be fun to share my little discoveries as I go along, little by little. In preparing to add rss links to my blog (see that cute little heart icon? Isn’t it the cutest?! Get it here) I thought I would look for an explanation of just what RSS is. Now that I am getting older and busier with homeschooling and designing and just plain living, I have a lot of things of which I need to keep track. AND I really have to streamline my web browsing (and minimize my time spent surfing) in order to get anything done. So, if I find a kickin’ design blog, like Decor8, or really neato homeschool resource, like Heart of Wisdom, I subscribe to their “feed” which automatically sends new content right to my inbox because I select “Newsgator Outlook Edition” when I set up the feed. Of course, you can also sign up for certain reader services that allow you to keep track of your feeds online, etc. Since I am not super technically inclined, I thought I’d look up a few resources in case you want to learn more about RSS and I found this one – it was just too hilarious not to share. How to explain RSS the Oprah way – Isn’t that cute? It’s a good read and gives you a pretty good overview. I also found this little video that puts a helpful spin on the information. At any rate, feel free to sign up for my rss – clicky da heart yup there – to help you keep track of what’s going on right here!
